The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the much awaited IBPS Clerk Notification 2016. The exam conducting body IBPS has announced over 19,000 vacancies in Clerical Cadre posts in 29 banks for the current year, 2016. According to the IBPS Clerk Notification 2016, the recruitment process will be done through two online examinations – Prelims and Mains. The exams are tentatively scheduled for November/December 2016 & January 2017.

What are the IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria?
1. Age (as on 1st August 2016)
Minimum: 20 years & Maximum: 28 years.
i.e. One important point to keep in mind here that you should not have been born before 02.08.1988 and not after 01.08.1996 (both dates inclusive).

2. Required Educational Qualification
(A) A degree (graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by GoI, or any equivalent qualification.
(B) Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer Systems is mandatory. You should have a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Computer Operations/ Language or should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/ College/ Institute.
(C) Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT is preferable. You should be able to read, write and speak it.
Note: All results must be declared on or before 12th September 2016.
3. Nationality/ Citizenship
You must be either –
(a) a Citizen of India or
(b) a Subject of Nepal or Bhutan or
(c) a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(d) a Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
